Team Honda Research Civic Si

You may remember we reported a while back that the Honda Civic coupe and Si were designed in Raymond, OH by a bunch of hip, young folk at Honda R&D Americas. The same team developed this Civic Si track car specifically for use in the 2005 25 Hours of Thunderhill endurance race. The car and engine were built to NASA US Touring Car Championship specs and feature an H&R race suspension tuned by Honda engineers, as well as an AEM intake and DC Sports race header and exhaust.

Other race mods include an Exedy  lightened flywheel and racing clutch, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires on 17-inch Volk Racing TE37 wheels, an APR carbon fiber front splitter and APR GTC-200 adjustable rear spoiler.
