Indiana moves to secure its Delphi jobs

Indiana state and local government officials, led by Governor Mitch Daniels, met today with Delphi officials at the company's electronics and safety division headquarters in Kokomo (pictured) to discuss ways to keep Delphi jobs in Indiana.
Governor Daniels said that the state may offer Delphi incentives to retain, or even attract, jobs. Delphi currently employs 6,600 workers in two Indiana plants.

As Delphi moves to consolidate U.S. operations into fewer plants, with fewer employees, we expect that Indiana's offer will be one of many state-level initiatives to influence the course of the company's restructuring.
