Vibrating seatbelts standard by 2020?

Since the constant "ding, ding, ding" reminding you to buckle your seatbelt when you start the car apparently wasn't annoying enough, Reuters reports that using similar auditory signals in combination with vibrating seatbelts, seats, pedals, or other car parts are the next "big brother" tactic to get you to change your driving habits, projecting that all new cars will have the technology by the year 2020. Don't have your seatbelt on? Your seat may start vibrating.  Music too loud?  Maybe your gas pedal will shake vigorously.  Getting too close to the car in front of you?  Your seatbelt might just vibrate until you back off. Another tactic being researched is smell — lavender apparently helps calm drivers, and peppermint increases concentration.  We like those ideas better.
