2005 Woodward Dream Cruise: Chrysler

We hit the DaimlerChrysler display first, which was really just the Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep display today, because it was located at the climax of the cruise: 13 Mile and Woodward. This year Chrysler had the largest presence of the Big 3 by far, taking up the entire parking lot of a strip mall. There were a bunch of modified Magnums on hand, as well as all of Chrysler's new vehicles for 2006 including the Ram, Viper SRT10 GTS Coupe, Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 and the ugly mutha' trucka Commander. There were a few Vipers cruising Woodward all day, but the Plymouth Prowler actually had a large presence thanks to a group of the modern hotrods that were lapping Woodward Ave. all day long. Also caught on the street was the new Dodge Charter SRT8, which sports the meanest most badass look around. It's this version of the Charger that has finally endeared us to the overtly aggressive look of this reborn marque. Of course, there were plenty of Dodge and Chrysler classics on hand, but I'm saving those pics for some special "Classic Car" posts later on.

More pics after the jump!

The custom Magnum above was actually built by students for a course on building custom vehicles available at Washtenaw Community College.
