Monster Focus RS project halted

We can't confirm the validity of this news since we heard it through the grapevine, but reports are coming out of the UK that Ford has halted the project that would've given the world a Focus capable of embarrassing a BMW M3. Autocar claims the AWD car would've produced 320 horsepower, 30 less than earlier reported, from a turbocharged 3.0L inline six, but has no reason why Ford dumped the project or if it will resume.
