Flint flames phony Cadillac

Old-timer Jerry Flint likens the new Cadillac BLS to a Mercedes Benz built off the Mitsubishi Galant in Normal, Il. and sold only in the USA. We're sure the EU auto press will see through the Art & Science bodywork and Caddy-inspired interior but the Saab sells well in Europe on this platform and people may like an exterior that sets itself apart on the foreign roads. Toyota made it work in this country by selling a Camry with a Lexus badge. The FWD BLS is a risk, no doubt. It's hard to predict if Europeans will welcome a Swedish-built Caddy with power at the wrong wheels to compete with the same-size BMW 3 and MB C-Class.
