Bricklin sets lofty dealership plans

In what appears more like Disneyland than a car dealership, Malcolm Bricklin has set the plans for each $15 million Visionary Vehicle store that will sell Chery automobiles. Dealerships would include a test track, an auto show-like environment, informative, low-pressure salesmen, a car wash and a drive-in theater. Most of what Bricklin is dreaming up will never pass many zoning laws (just ask GM about the industrial HUMMER stores) and those low-pressure salesmen are even more elusive (we kid). Plus $15 million could build you two Toyota dealerships. Bricklin wants an entertainment destination for the whole family, but may just have, like Icarus, flown too high for his own good.
