The Micras are coming

Nissan wants to add a new compact to its U.S. line-up. As Edmunds says in this article Japan's Big Three are battling it out over the youth market with increasingly smaller cars. Toyota has Scion, Honda will bring us the Fit and now Nissan chief Carlos Ghosn says Nissan will build a new North American compact as early as 2006. The car will be based on the March platform shown here and feature a 1.5 liter engine.
