Diesel Lambo?

Yes, you read that headline right, a Diesel Lamborghini. Not exactly a pairing one would have expected to see, is it. But, none the less, Lamborghini is testing a Gallardo powered by a 5.0-litre V10 from Volkswagen, producing a reported 309bhp, and a huge 553 lb. feet of torque. No other real hard details are available, but this is certainly an interesting move by Lambo. I would have expected the next generation of supercars to be gasoline/electric hybrids, something that Toyota is currently work on.
