Lexus RX400h on sale date announced

I don't know if Lexus realizes the significance of the new on sale date for their first hybrid-SUV. But tax day, April 15, 2005, will be a joyous day for luxury car-buying environmentalists. The 9,500 folks that have already bought one of the 2006 models, sight undriven, will also be much relieved. One Lexus VP says they've seen more consumer interest in the RX 400h than any other vehicle in the brand's entire history. The launch was originally scheduled for early 2005 but was pushed back so the company could build some sort of reasonable inventory for the demand.
