Man concerned that truck he bought for $29 may be unsafe

Bryan Banquells bought a 1985 Nissan King Cab at a San Diego dealer for $29, and now he's complaining because he just found out the truck has a salvaged title, given to a wrecked auto when it's determined that the vehicle isn't worth fixing. The dealership where Banquells bought the truck claims it wasn't contacted by the department of motor vehicles regarding the title until the truck was already sold. Banquells knew the vehicle wasn't in triple-X mint shape, but he says he was led to believe it was safe to drive. Straight from his mouth: "I have a 4-year-old and a 14-month old and a baby on the way. I don't want to take them in a truck that I don't know whether it has a cracked frame. I want to be in something safe. I think they should take care of my family and make sure we're safe on the road and put us in another truck." I think this story has taught all of us a valuable lesson: if you want a vehicle that is going to protect the kids that you can't seem to stop having, you might have to spend a little more than 29 bucks.
