Sunoco makes huge bank in second quarter

The petroleum and petrochemical product maker Sunoco Inc. reported second quarter earnings that almost tripled last year's numbers. The company made about $234 million, compared to a paltry $81 million a scant year ago. It experienced a $42 million contribution from its Eagle Point facility, which was acquired last year. 43 million barrels of gasoline were produced for the quarter, and a total crude unit output of 887,000 barrels daily was calculated, leading one to believe that "The Total Crude Unit" would make an even better nickname for MLB tosser Randy Johnson.
