Chevy tosses Venture minivan; Uplander new sheriff in town

You know you want it. You can't deny it. It's Chevrolet's newest midsize people mover, the Uplander. While not the product of a total overhaul, seeing as passenger and cargo spaces have been carried over from the Venture, the Uplander represents substantial progressive maneuver on Chevy's part. The exterior has been smartened considerably, safety features have been improved, a sick range of comfort accessories (including DVD and PhatNoise systems) are now available, and most importantly, a bigger engine (200 horsies) will propel the vehicle across mall parking lots at speeds upward of 15 mph.
