'06 GTI caught in the act

A few spy photos of VW's '06 GTI surfaced recently, showing the vehicle completely undisguised save for some exterior testing gadgetry. The '06 GTI is based on VW's new MkV platform, already available throughout most of Europe in Golf trim. It looks to uphold the tradition of VW's pocket rocket model, as the '06 will be propelled by a 2.0 liter, 200-hp turbocharged powerplant, and feature 18-inch wheels and an aggressive styling kit.
