Green Car Journal named the 2016 Chevy Volt its Green Car of the Year. This is the first time a model has won the title twice.

For 2016, the Green Car Of The Year finalists include the Audi A3 E-Tron, Chevy Volt, Honda Civic, Hyundai Sonata, Toyota Prius. No diesels this year.

For the first time in Green Car Awards history, the honor is being rescinded. VW has returned the 2008 and 2010 awards it won for Jetta and Audi A3 diesel.
