Mountune powers up the Ford Focus RS

Specs to come, but tuner promises they'll be worth the wait.

Mountune has developed an array of upgrades for the new Ford Focus RS. The components are already available to purchase, though the tuner has yet to reveal just how much extra performance they'll bring.

The parts available for the Focus RS include a new silicone boost hose, high-flow induction hose, high-flow air filter, roll restrictor, and quick-shift kit, plus a Quaife differential and OZ Leggera alloys. Prices range from a modest $59 for the air filter to a more substantial $1,099 for the diff.

The company says it tested its parts extensively – on the Nürburgring no less – but that final sign-off is still pending, and so too are stats. "What we can share with you is that the power and torque improvements are very noticeable," reports the tuning house, "as is the reduction in 0-60 mph time and other performance attributes."

Those are mighty ambitious goals considering that Ford Performance already pulled out all the stops to turn the humble Focus into the new RS. But if anyone can do it, we're confident that Mountune can, after having seen what it could do with a Focus ST. What's more is that these parts only represent Phase 1, so we can expect more to come from Ford and Roush's European tuning partner.
