The Ferrari P4/5 by Pininfarina revealed!

Ultimatecarpage, with the permission of owner James Glickenhaus, has posted the first three officially sanctioned photos of the Ferrari P4/5 by Pininfarina. The Enzo-based one-of-a-kind tribute to the classic Ferrari 330 P3/4 was not scheduled to be revealed until later this month, but leaks on the web spurred Glickenhouse to action.
The official unveiling is still scheduled for later this month, but until then, the owner has allowed Ultimatecarpage to post three photos. No, it isn't as gorgeous as the P3/P4 -- nothing is. What it is, however, is fantastic. Modern-looking for sure, the car's fenders, roofline, and rear clearly harken back to the P3/P4.
Built with the full cooperation of Ferrari, Glickenhaus' car is a fitting tribute to the revered original. We look forward to July 29th when the full set of images will be released. In the meantime, visit Ultimatecarpage.com to see larger versions of photo above plus two more shots of this very special vehicle.
We have one suggestion for Mr. Glickenhaus, direct from the Autoblog "Wishful Thinking" department: next summer, please send this car to Goodwood and have it follow your original P3/4 up the hill. What a thrill that'd be!

Althought it's the minority position, I like it. It's not as mind-bendingly hot as the original, but it still works.

Reminds me of the Pontiac Banshee concept car from the late-1980s.

Looks like a 1980s concept car. And that's not a good thing.

oooh a ferrari without working head and taillights, nothing say one off collectors piece like non-street-legal cars. Pass. Peter Kilikow's one off 612 Kappa s far more impressive.

Well, you have to have an eye for the original P4, which was easily the most stunning looking car of its era.
I don't like the black roofline think (my opinion. It should be red.
Other than that, this is easily the most interesting of the retro-inspired designs I have seen.

Another ruined Enzo. Dieing in a crash would have been a far kinder fate than having to live with a horribly botched face lift. Unless they wanted an 80s throw back look.

This isn't the final version of the P 4/5, these are 6-7 months old. Those photos will be published July 27th.

I can understand how some people may not like this beauty from photos alone. There was also lots of negative remarks after seeing the first Enzo pics too. I can say from first hand experience of touching and photographing this car that it's a masterpiece. I've also photographed it in motion on a highway in Florida (during the January Supercar Weekend) and I can assure you the headlights do work, as well as the tail lights and everything is completely legal.
