With the new E-Class, Mercedes-Benz has taken the best from the flagship S-Class, made a few exciting tweaks, and applied it to a smaller, more agile platform.

Spy photographers catch the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class out on the streets, with the sedan wearing almost no camouflage.
There's a coterie of six-figure professionals who have been waiting for this car, their dental office parking lots and showcase home driveways pining without end for the facelifted 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet. Mercedes lists the Cadillac CTS Coupe and Audi A5 among the competitive set in the premium medium-size segment, but we feel that's a bit like telling an alien visitor to our planet, "Yes, Lake Superior, Loch Lochy and the liquid in my bathtub are all freshwater bodies of water loc
The great all-arounder. A concept as familiar to sports fans as it is dear to gearheads, the expression sums up a person or thing that excels by way of diffuse – rather than concentrated – excellence. This is an especially formidable concept in the picky midsize sedan segment of the luxury car world, we'd argue, where brand loyalty and the force of history often power purchases as much as a car's feature set. Do nothing wrong and win, assuming your brand is strong and your model's re
Never dismiss a wagon, even on a racing circuit. That's a rule I confirmed when Mercedes-Benz invited me out to the track for hot laps in its E63 AMG S 4Matic Wagon.
It was Steve Sutcliffe at Autocar who got the tough job of comparing the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG to the limited edition Jaguar XFR-S on the track and sheep-strewn British B-roads. In UK spec both Mephistophelean sedans wrangle the same 542 horsepower, but step out of the corral and things look to weigh heavily in the Mercedes' favor: it has more torque, it's lighter, it's quicker from 0-to-60 and it's less expensive.
Mentioned at the debut of the redesigned Mercedes-Benz E-Class back in January, Mercedes has finally pulled back the curtain on the E63 AMG S, which was on display at the New York Auto Show in wagon guise. The 2014 E63 AMG S ups the ante even more from a "base" E63 AMG, improving the car's performance and styling – not that it needed help with either to begin with.
It's still under a suit of camouflage, but Mercedes-Benz brought an E63 AMG to Southern California and invited Car and Driver columnist and former Editor-in-Chief Csaba Csere to ride shotgun. Before clicking in, Csere does a walkaround and notes the changes, most of which we've seen on the refreshed standard E-Class. He then takes a ride with the head of AMG, Olla Källenius, and asks questions that Källenius spends much of his time not exactly answering.
Mercedes-Benz has released its first official teaser for its updated 2014 E-Class lineup. The video focuses primarily on the headlights of the E-Class that have a new shape and will offer (at least as an option) full LED lighting including the signals, stylish running lights and adaptive high and low beams. We also note that the the current E's odd four-pod headlight design is being replaced with a more conventional design that fits in with other Mercedes models.
It's happened to you or someone you know: You think your car is in Park and begin to exit your vehicle, and then it starts to roll. Now, most drivers catch themselves that moment, step on the brakes, throw the gearshift into Park and wait for their heart rate to come back down. This was not one of those times.
