Ford commissioned a survey of 10,000 electric vehicle owners posing the question, what would you buy next? 92% of plugged in Americans said they plan to buy electric again, citing a preference for clean tech and the instant power provided by an electric motor. But what about drivers who live in states with fewer or no plug-in incentives? Autoblog spoke with Stephanie Janczak, who works with electric vehicle technology at Ford.

STEPHANIE JANCZAK: We're always open to-- to providing what the customers want. It may take some time to deliver that product to the-- the non-ZEV states, but we're always there to work with the-- the customer to try to get the vehicle that best meets their needs. And sometimes that's not the battery electric. Sometimes it is the plug-in hybrid. Sometimes it's-- it's a hybrid vehicle. And it's really-- and that's part of our entire message of power choice. We really want to find the vehicle that meets that person's needs and not necessarily dictate any particular technology.

ADAM MORATH: Low gas prices and rising truck sales may have stalled EV adoption in the US, but Ford's survey shows high satisfaction amongst current EV customers, begging the question, what will you buy next? Let us know in the comments. For Autoblog, I'm Adam Morath.
