The Ascent is a spacious 3-row sport utility equipped with proven Subaru capability as well as style and comfort. This largest Subaru provides a versatile cargo space and seating for seven or eight people, depending on trim. The Subaru Ascent is powered by a 260-hp 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine mated to an eight-speed CVT transmission. Trim specific standard equipment includes 18- or 20-inch aluminum wheels, heated mirrors, heated front seats, automatic dual-zone climate control with separate rear controls, SiriusXM satellite radio, Aha internet radio, Bluetooth, an 8-inch touchscreen display and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity. Safety features such as seven airbags, a rear view camera, stability control and 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist and hill hold control and the EyeSight safety system which includes Pre-Collision Throttle Management, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Pre-Collision Braking and Sway Warning Alert are standard across all trims while the Rear Cross Traffic Alert is available on all trims except the Base model. The Limited and Touring trims add LED headlights, daytime running and front fog lights, auto-leveling adaptive headlights with High Beam Assist (HBA), turn signal indicators in the mirrors, heated rear seats and leather upholstery. The Subaru Ascent carries over for 2021 with minimal changes, steering-responsive headlights are now standard while the EyeSight suite of driver aids now includes adaptive cruise control and a lane keeping assistant.
