Overview

The BMW M5 is the ultimate combination of the power of a supercar, and the everyday convenience of a four-door family sedan with comfortable seating for five. The M5 sits atop the 5-series lineup; powered by a 600-hp (617-hp in M5 Competition model) 4.4-liter twin-turbo V-8 mated to an 8-speed M Sport automatic transmission and M xDrive all-wheel drive system with two-wheel drive mode. M Dynamic Damper Control suspension and an Active M Differential also help keep all that power under control, while four cross-drilled anti-lock disc brakes provide the stopping. The M5 also features two M buttons on the steering wheel, allowing the driver to set and save two different favourite vehicle performance set-ups. Standard features include 19-inch alloy wheels, six airbags, heated front seats, carbon fiber roof, head-up display, rain sensing wipers, full-LED headlights, dual-zone climate control, navigation system, Forward Collision Mitigation, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, SiriusXM satellite radio, gesture control, Bluetooth and a 16-speaker harman/kardon sound system. For 2020, wireless phone charging, WiFi Hotspot, Connected Package Pro and Live Cockpit Pro are now all standard equipment.
