Overview

The Jeep Renegade enters the small sport-utility segment. It offers practicality, unique styling and 4x4 capabilities, all at a great value. The Jeep Renegade is offered with a choice between two four-cylinder engines. A new 1.3-liter turbocharged four makes 177 horsepower and 200 pound-feet of torque. The other engine in the lineup is the 2.4-liter Tigershark engine, rated at 180 hp and 175 lb-ft.Both engines send power to the wheels via a nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, and four-wheel drive is an option on most trim levels, though the Trailhawk trim includes it as standard equipment. The 2019 Jeep Renegade is available in five distinct trim levels: Sport, Latitude, Altitude, Limited, and Trailhawk. Trim specific standard equipment includes a rearview camera, a USB port, push-button start, air conditioning, Uconnect, cruise control, a six-speaker audio system, satellite radio, a five-inch touch screen, and Bluetooth. The Jeep Renegade returns for 2019 with updated front and rear fascias, along with a new 1.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine to replace the previous 1.4-liter four. The six-speed manual transmission has also been discontinued.
