Overview

The Jeep Renegade enters the small sport-utility segment. It offers practicality, unique styling and 4x4 capabilities, all at a great value. The Jeep Renegade is offered with a choice between two 4-cylinder engines. The FIAT-designed 1.4L turbocharged MultiAir engine comes as standard; it delivers 160 hp and 184 lb-ft. The 1.4L turbocharged engine is connected to the front or to all four wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission. Automatic buyers get the 2.4L Tigershark engine, rated at 180 hp and 175 lb-ft. The bigger, 2.4L engine sends power to the wheels via a 9-speed automatic. Four-wheel drive is an option on most trim levels, though the Trailhawk trim includes it as standard equipment. The 2017 Jeep Renegade is available in six distinct trim levels: Sport, Latitude, Altitude, Limited, Trailhawk and Deserthawk. Trim specific standard equipment includes a rearview camera, a USB port, push-button start, air conditioning, Uconnect, cruise control, a six-speaker audio system, satellite radio, a five-inch touch screen, and Bluetooth. The 2017 Jeep Renegade introduces the Altitude and Deserthawk trims.
