Overview

The Porsche Cayman is a two-seater mid-engine sports coupe revitalizing the spirit and nostalgia of the Porsche 904. The third-generation Cayman continues to offer a combination of dynamic performance, sleek design and luxurious appointments. The rear-wheel drive Cayman is offered in four variants: Base, S, GTS, and GT4. The Base is powered by a 275-hp 2.7-liter flat six-cylinder engine with direct fuel injection, while the S boasts a 325-hp 3.4-liter flat six-cylinder engine with direct fuel injection. The GTS is fitted with a 340-hp 3.4-liter flat six-cylinder engine, while the GT4 is built with a 385-hp 3.8-liter flat six-cylinder engine. All are mated to a six-speed manual transmission; Porsche's PDK seven-speed double-clutch gearbox, including manual shift mode and steering wheel paddles, is optional. The Cayman is equipped with, 18-inch alloy wheels, LED tail lamps, Alcantara/leatherette upholstery, air conditioning, cruise control, Bluetooth wireless connectivity, and a CDR-31 audio system, including MP3-compatible CD player and universal audio interface; S trim adds 19-inch alloy wheels, and Bi-Xenon headlights. The GTS trim adds 20-inch alloy wheels, Porsche Dynamic Lighting System (PDLS), Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), and Alcantara trim. The GT4 trim has unique 20-inch alloy wheels, a fixed rear wing, lower suspension, and upgraded brakes. Standard safety features on all trims include Porsche Stability Management (PSM), ventilated four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, front and side seat-mounted airbags with a curtain airbag for head protection, and a tire pressure monitor. The 2016 Porsche Cayman is now offered in GT4 trim.
