Overview

The Ford Edge is a five-passenger crossover sport utility that answers the call for a roomy vehicle with utility and style. The front-, or all-wheel drive Edge is powered by an EcoBoost 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine, with a 3.5-liter Ti-VCT V6 as the optional choice. The Edge Sport comes exclusively with a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6. All engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel shift paddles. Standard safety features on all models include eight airbags, four wheel anti-lock brakes, LED brakelights, AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control, auto-locking power locks, rearview camera, an occupant classification system and a tire-pressure monitoring system. Optional safety equipment includes second row inflatable seatbelts, adaptive cruise control with collision warning, blind spot detection, lane departure warning and Lane Keep Assist, a front 180-degree view camera, parking assistant, HID headlights and rain sensing wipers. The SYNC system is standard on all trims while MyFord Touch is optional on the SEL and standard on Titanium and Sport trims. For 2015, the Edge has been completely redesigned inside and out with a host of new standard and optional tech and safety features.
