Overview

The Chrysler 200 has always been a true contender in the ultra-competitive midsize car category, offering value through a high level of standard equipment. The 200 is reborn in 2015, all new from the ground up and offering a compelling blend of simple elegance, state-of-the-art technology and enhanced driving performance. A segment-first nine-speed automatic transmission and available all-wheel drive complete the transformation. The 200 sedan is offered in both front- and all-wheel drive configurations, with four trim levels: front-wheel drive LX, Limited, C and S trims, as well as all-wheel drive C and S trims only. Two engines supply power: a 184-hp 2.4-liter MulitAir four-cylinder and a 295-hp 3.6-liter Pentastar V6; both are mated to a new nine-speed automatic transmission with manual mode and available shift paddles. The LX trim is equipped with 17-inch wheels, air conditioning, cruise control, passive entry/start, a CD player with MP3 capability and a USB port. The Limited adds 17-inch aluminum wheels, upgraded upholstery, Uconnect with Bluetooth wireless connectivity for phone/audio streaming and a 5-inch touchscreen LCD monitor, while the C trim is further equipped with heated exterior mirrors, fog lights, heated front seats, leather upholstery, automatic climate control, garage door opener, satellite radio and a 7-inch touchscreen LCD monitor. The S trim is uniquely treated, with 18-inch aluminum wheels, gloss black grille, sport-tuned suspension, sport front bucket seats (non-heated) with unique leather-accented cloth upholstery and a leather steering wheel. Standard safety features on every 200 include electronic stability and traction control systems, anti-lock brakes with brake assist, a security alarm and eight airbags; new for 2015, a ParkView rear backup camera is standard on the C trim and available for Limited and S trims. Other advanced safety technologies offered in 2015 include Blind Spot & Cross Path Detection, Lane Departure Warning Plus, Full Speed Forward Collision Warning Plus, Adaptive Cruise Control, ParkSense Parallel/Perpendicular Park Assist and SmartBeam Headlamps, along with Uconnect Access services for emergency and roadside assistance. The Chrysler 200 is completely redesigned for 2015.
