Overview

Larger and more powerful than other Lotus vehicles offered in the US, the 2011 Evora is Lotus' mid-engine coupe. In keeping with Lotus tradition, the Evora employs innovative lightweight chassis technology to ensure all-round dynamic performance. The Evora is now available in two trims, base and S, and in 2+2 or 2+0 (without rear seats) layouts. The Evora's light-weight aluminum chassis, four-wheel-independent suspension, Eibach coil springs, Bilstein shock absorbers, AP Racing/Brembo brakes and Pirelli P-Zero performance tires combine to provide precise handling. The base Evora is powered by a Lotus-tuned and Toyota sourced 276 horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine with a standard six-speed manual, an optional Sports Ratio six-speed manual or an optional 6-speed automatic transmission. The Evora S uses the same 3.5-liter V6, but a supercharger bumps horsepower to 345. Recaro sport seats, leather and aluminum interior trim, and an Alpine CD/MP3/WMA stereo system with iPod connectivity are standard. The optional Tech Pack includes an Alpine Mobile Media Station, navigation system, Bluetooth wireless connectivity, cruise control, and rear parking sensors. The available Sport Pack includes a switchable sports mode featuring enhanced throttle response and RPM limit, sports traction control mode, sports diffuser, titanium exhaust tips, cross-drilled brake discs and black painted brake calipers. The supercharged S trim is new for 2011, as is the option to delete the rear seat. SuedeTex seat trim and the base model's 6-speed automatic transmission are new options.
