Overview

The Mercury Grand Marquis is a rear-wheel drive family sedan, with a spacious interior and seating for up to six passengers. It offers most of the comfort and convenience features found in the Lincoln Town Car, at a lower price point than many luxury mid-size vehicles. The Grand Marquis is available in one well-equipped trim level, the LS. It is powered by a 224-hp 4.6-liter V8 engine with flexible fuel capability, mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission. Standard features on the Grand Marquis LS include: 17-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, automatic climate control, stability and traction control systems, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist and a tire pressure monitor. The Mercury Grand Marquis carries over for 2009 with minimal changes. The GS trim level is dropped for this model year, and front side-impact airbags are now standard on the LS trim.
