The Mazda5 is a six passenger vehicle that blurs the lines between wagon and minivan in a trendy and exciting way. The Mazda5 comes in two trims, the Sport and the Touring. Both offer different levels of options and creature comforts. The only engine is a 157-horsepower, 2.3-liter inline four-cylinder that delivers 21 city and 26 highway miles per gallon. A five-speed manual transmission is standard, a four-speed automatic optional. Safety features include dual-action frontal airbags, plus front seat-mounted side-impact airbags for torso protection, and head-protecting side air curtains for all three rows of seats. All passengers have three point seat belts. The Mazda5 is completely new for 2006.
