Ferrari made quite the statement at Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance while celebrating its 70th anniversary

Transcript

GREG MIGLIORE: 70 years of Ferrari at Pebble Beach. So I was out at Pebble Beach this week. Really cool to see, you know, the history from Ferrari from 1947 working its way forward. There were at least two classes of-- just dedicated to Ferraris. One was-- you would've loved this, Joel-- it was a class of Ferraris that won races. So think about that. Like, there were cars that won Le Mans there. It was so sweet.

And then when you sort of walked away from the main Concours, like-- so picture this. You're on the 18th hole at Pebble Beach. You walk over to essentially where the 17th hole would be, and there was just this whole, like-- there was probably 20, 30 Ferraris, like their greatest hits, just all across, you know, this-- you know, this fairway. And it was fantastic to see. And it was-- I thought it was cool just to have, like, Ferrari kind of make a statement at Pebble Beach.

- Yeah. And of course, I wasn't able to be there. I did get to see some of the pictures and see what some of the cars there were. One of the ones that really stood out to me was the Ferrari P3/P4 bright yellow '60s Le Mans racer that I saw was apparently converted to road use for Dean Martin, Jr.

GREG MIGLIORE: Wow, OK.

- And that-- that just struck me as-- as so amazing that, like, there was a point in time where you could take a top tier Le Mans race car and give it to a rich guy or celebrity and let them drive around on the street. I mean, can-- can you imagine somebody taking, like, a Porsche 919 hybrid from this past year's Le Mans and trying to cruise through Beverly Hills with it?

GREG MIGLIORE: I mean, give it 20 years, give it the right celebrity, you know, I could see that happening, actually. My question is, how is this legal? Like, I mean, what did they do to this car, you know? And-- but yeah--

- It's got lights and exhaust. I mean, depending on the state, it could be easy to register.

GREG MIGLIORE: I guess. That's a really good point. Yeah, I mean, I'm just-- yeah, and it's old enough. So yeah, it's-- I did see-- I believe I saw that car out there. Beautiful car, so.
