Typically, it's the latest in automotive innovation that draws us to the Motorcity, but not today. The Detroit APBA Gold Cup is the oldest active trophy in all of motorsport, but it's not awarded to the quickest car on the track, rather the hastiest hydroplane on the river. Needless to say, these turbine-powered thunderboats have come a long way since 1904.
