Volkswagen took another hit Wednesday in its push to improve quality in its core brand, announcing a recall of 34,000 Passats worldwide because of clutch problems.
The recall affects Passats built between April and May 2005 equipped with 2-liter TDI engines and six-speed manual transmissions. The company had previously announced recalls for the Golf, Golf Plus, Jetta and Touran for the same problem.
