Toyota's future 'green' plans

Last week Toyota Motor Corp. detailed one of its plans to meet company's goals to better the environment. Following up with its new V6 engine introduced in 2003, the world's second largest automaker has developed a new 1.8 liter gasoline engine that will not only deliver higher torque and greater fuel efficiency, but emit lower CO2. The new engine works with a continuously variable transmission. Toyota plans to install the engine and transmission system in its future compact and mid-sized vehicles.
