The ADAC, or General German Automobile Association, has tallied the votes for the 2006 Gelber Engel, or Yellow Angel, prize and announced the Volkswagen Passat as the winner. The Passat was in contention for the award with 54 other models in the “Cars” category, but received more of the 320,000 votes cast than any of its competitors.
