VW planning surprise for L.A.

How's this for being cryptic. Speaking on rumours that VW will be debuting a new California-designed concept at the L.A. Auto Show, company spokesman Tony Fouladpour told Inside Line, "I can only say it's a 'vehicle'. It doesn't necessarily have four wheels and it may go into production." Fouladpour said little else except that the concept would not be a motorcycle. We're thinking the concept will either be a super high-mileage trike of some sort or possibly something with more than four wheels. The concept will trek across country to be displayed at the Detroit Auto Show a week later, as well.
