Nissan hopes to hang onto talent as it moves to Tennessee

At big companies, say the size of Nissan, an estimated 50 percent of employees bail when the company moves across the country. Carlos Ghosn thinks he can buck that trend, but Automotive News buddied up to some sales and marketing guys recently who beg to differ. As one bitter employee remarked to the trade publication, "North America made Nissan one of the world's most profitable car companies, and this is how they pay us back?"

The sun may keep many of Nissan's current employees in SoCal, but the stormy weather in the Detroit area won't be missed by the legion of talented but laid-off employees flocking to Tennessee from Southeast Michigan, the publication said.
