Europe to get production version of Ford SAV Concept

The SAV Concept vehicle, which debuted at the last Geneva auto show, previewed a new design direction for Ford of Europe. The concept was so well received that Ford has decided to green light the vehicle with a European launch set for early 2006 and production to be handled by Ford's Genk, Belgium plant. The SAV, or Sports Activity Vehicle, has three rows of seating, but FoE is supposedly working hard to ensure it exhibits an athletic nature, something that SUV's usually don't manage to achieve. Here's hoping that swapping the word "utility" with "activity" will make all the difference. Regardless, we'd take the SAV over a Freestyle anyday.
