Charger gets full frontal protection

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration completed crash testing of the 2006 Dodge Charger and granted the vehicle a 5-star rating for frontal-impact crash protection. The press release from Dodge said nothing about side protection so we had to go to NHTSA's website to investigate. The Charger received 4-stars for driver-side protection and 5-stars for the passenger. Not bad, but not good enough to tout in the PR world. The Charger was tested without side airbags, so the optional side curtain roof-mounted bags in the Protection Package may give the Charger 5-stars all around.
