Freshened duds for Jag's X-Type, aimed at younger drivers

From the looks of the X-Type's new appearance package, it seems that Jaguar has finally figured out that their target audience is no longer solely comprised of old rich people. Jaguar's style guru Ian Callum says the X-Type Sport now has a "more aggressive, purposeful look…giving the impression it is hugging the road," an effect achieved by adding a more assertive front spoiler, and lower side and rear valences. Other touches include 18-inch wheels, a black mesh grill, larger exhaust tips, and, indeed, appropriating last year's hottest space-age material, a carbon fiber interior console. While the combination of these elements may add exactly zero horsepower to the car, the appearance package does help the Jaguar look more like a predator, and less like a house cat.
