We're just days away from finally (finally!) being able to drop the full, steaming load of C7 Corvette information, images and video into your collective lap. And yet, the official reveal day is not quite here yet...

Something big is coming to the 2013 Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, AZ. You can already read the (mostly) complete roster of vehicles that will be up for grabs at the annual event, and each item on the docket offers complete information as to year, make, model and a full description of the item.

What looks to be an official General Motors service bulletin for the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette has leaked out onto the internet thanks to spy shooter Chris Doane's Facebook page. The image above clearly shows what we assume is the nose of the next-generation sports car – more specifically, the front brake cooling deflector kit installation information. From the line drawing, it appears as if the 2014 Corvette will feature a familiar front profile with tall fenders that slope inward to the ho

The launch of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette is quickly approaching, and before we see the car in its full glory at the Detroit Auto Show, Chevrolet has released a second teaser video for the C7 'Vette. In this video, we see a few more details of the new Corvette than what we saw in the first teaser a couple weeks ago such as a few interior detail shots and a quick glimpse of the car's undercarriage.

Think back to the debut of the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro – a full three years passed between the concept's official debut in 2006 and when the production model launched in 2009, with a whole lot of hype in between. And why would the roll-out of the halo car Corvette be any different? That in mind, we bring you what General Motors is calling 2014 Corvette Trailer 1: Conception.

Chevrolet is unveiling its highly anticipated C7 Corvette at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, but the new eight-speed automatic transmission that General Motors will introduce in this car reportedly won't be ready for at least another year. No, this doesn't mean that the C7 will only come with a manual transmission at launch. According to Motor Trend, what it does mean, though, is that the Corvette will rely on an eight-speed auto sourced from Aisin until GM's in-house transmission is ready.

If it's never been said before that the cornerstone to General Motors performance is the small block V8, well, it ought to be on a factory plaque somewhere. And maybe some t-shirts. We can start printing up the latter right now: The General's evergreen performance linchpin is getting a 21st-century makeover in the form of this all-new 6.2-liter LT1.

Is there a more hotly anticipated 2013 Detroit Auto Show debut than the next Corvette? We don't think so, and while we're woefully short on details – powertrain, price, performance – we can at least bask in the glow of a nicely filmed teaser video. The first of many, we imagine.

The next-generation Chevrolet C7 Corvette is indeed one of the most highly anticipated debuts of the upcoming auto show season, and we've now learned that General Motors' famed sports car will officially bow on Sunday, January 13 during a preview event for the Detroit Auto Show press days. (We can already picture the mob scene.)

We've seen the new C7 Corvette performing some cold-weather tests, had sneak peeks of digital body parts and even watched speculative animated video. Thanks to our hard-working spy photographers that chased down this group of Corvette test mules, we can see most of these reports were on the right track.
