Autoblog's new Comments section is here

The Autoblog readership and commentariat is a dedicated, vocal and passionate group. Every day (almost every hour of every day) we hear from you in the form of tips, emails and, of course, in direct comments to the stories that we publish. While we don't have the ability to respond to each and every one of you individually, rest assured that your messages don't just go out into the void.

A happy case in point is the very Comments section that you use to make yourselves heard from post to post. For quite some time now we've received a lot of requests for improved and expanded functionality, and are now happy to report that our all-new commenting system is live.

So, what can you do with the new Comments?

For starters, we'd like to draw your attention to the Edit button at the top right. Finally you've got the ability to quickly fix a typo, clarify a point or completely change your mind. The new What You See Is What You Get-style editor allows you to enliven your post with italics, bold characters, underlining and, best of all, real live links. You can also sort comments on any post by Best, New and Old. Of course, you can still up vote comments you love, or down vote those you can't stand.
