Spy Shots: 2011 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe – Click either image for high-res gallery

Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe spy shotWe know that Mercedes-Benz is planning on rolling out both a coupe and convertible version of its popular C-Class sedan, and now we also have an idea of what the interior is going to look like. We're still quite curious to see the upcoming luxury coupe parked next to its two-door E-Class brethren. The E-Class currently rides on the C-Class platform and it will be interesting to see how the two vehicles stack up in the size department.

We have some burning questions to ask the automaker and we hope to have answers courtesy of the upcoming Paris Motor Show. What are the price points for the 2011 C-Class coupe, cabrio, and redesigned sedan? Will the two-door C-Class ride on the same platform as the sedan? Most importantly, when can we get the keys to a C63 coupe?

The dash looks like MB raided the Tupperware warehouses.

I'm more interested in the driving dynamics of the amg version of the coupe that they'll inevitably make, but From what I've heard, this gen c-class isnt nearly as wallowy as they were in previous models, but I've never driven one so I cant call the regular ones engaging.

how well it drives? well? it drives adequately (the C class), no better than a 3 series or an a4. actually, if you're talking about enjoying the drive, the C class would be last on my list in regards to the three germans, the 3 series providing a much more engaging drive and the audi less wallowy boat like ride.

Looks? outside? that's another story. but the C class (non amg) driving dynamics? That'd be the reason I wouldn't purchase one. what's your litmus test? 80s era caddys?

I love the upgrade to the interior. An earlier commenter mentioned that they may have taken inspiration from an Audi design. WRONG! This looks like it was inspired by the retro E-class dash. The materials are rough in appearance since this is a pre-production unit but I'm sure when the press pictures of this car roll out this may just have the best interior in its class (with the exception of the A4 perhaps).

I also spy a 'blind spot assist' light on the driver's side rear view mirror. Looks like the C is finally getting this feature!

"...inspired by the retro E-class dash"

Good call... I agree that E-Coupe dash has an old-school meets new tech quality to it.

The sat-nav/iPod interface looks interesting. Are they supporting Apples iPod Out feature like BMW is?

Infiniti has the best interiors, if only they could do something about the exteriors (aside from the new M which is sweet)...

Why is the ignition lock pixelated? Something there that we aren't supposed to see?

      C-Class Coupe?
      CLK?
      E-Class Coupe?
      ELK? :-)

I wish MB would get it together. Their product line confuses the crap out of me.

I would like to see how they pull this one off...It essential will ride on the same wheelbase as the sedan which also the E-coupe rides on lol...

Why are most interiors in German cars so boring and conservative?
      They look cheap and uninspiring...

If you sit in a Infiniti M, and then sat into an E or C class Mercedes, you'll
be stunned at how incredibly cheap and boring the Mercedes cabins appear.

        @ Power

I don't care which "class" it's in.. I'm speaking about the way the interior makes you feel and the visual impact it has on you when you're in the cabin. I like the overall design of German autos, but as a young man in my 30s, I have to give the edge to the Japanese Lux Interiors.

Conservative Old School interiors found in BMWs, Mercedes, and Audis does nothing for me nor my money.

Infiniti' are not even in the same class as a Meredes-Benz. A strippy C300 with MB-Tex easily outclasses a loaded M37. Remember there's more to a car than 'soft touch' surfaces.

@Butters: The interior of the new Infiniti M is pretty awesome...

@PowerBeautySoul: A C-Class interior is not as nice as the M, come on... The interior of the 2011 M is wonderful.

Has Mercedes lost all ability to design a nice interior? Their designs from the 90s were better looking.
