Woodward 2009: Best of the Worst Edition
Worst of Woodward 2009 - Click above for high-res image gallery
The Woodward Dream Cruise attracts hundreds of thousands of people and some of the best and most creative metal ever crafted. Some vehicles are finished works of art, while others are, well, works in progress. There's also a third kind of vehicle... those rolling tributes to rust and rot that tend to get in the way of the view of the other cars and trucks on Woodward. These are the kind of vehicles, that, if touched, could potentially necessitate a tetanus shot.
This year, instead of ruing the jalopies littering the streets of southeast Michigan, we've decided to embrace them for all the humor they provide. We've collected the best of the worst of Woodward 2009 for your perusal. Click on the gallery below to see the cars and trucks you wouldn't wish upon your enemy, and hit the jump to tell us which vehicle takes the crown as the ultimate Woodward warthog.

Those aren't dream cruise cars.
You just snapped a lot of photos of standard Detroit cars.

Good luck finding anyone who will confess to owning a Sebring.

Worst.... a Sebring convertible with fat girls replacing the hot blondes in bikinis.

I dunno. . . some of these looked more like they'd fit in the works in progress category. Like that poor 280z with its top chopped off.

That roof-less Z-car I thought looked pretty good. The Corvette just needed a paint job. Several others of these could be great if someone would have taken better care of them.

wow?! did you write that yourself? that is some grade-A comedy genius right there!
refreshing and new and really out of the blue! i hate that some people will just parrot an annoying line from a decade old movie preview... where others will actually take the time to write a truly hilarious line.
kudos sir! good job!

I like how that late 90s Grand Am in on there - they're a crime against good taste stone stock.

You're saying that a Suzuki Samurai isn't a marvelous piece of automotive machinery?
Okay. I'll agree.
Plus...everyone knows that Lambo doors awesome. Get with the game autoblog.

WOW what was wrong with the yellow mustang, other then the doors that flipped up! The 280Z was kewl in it's own right too and that old camaro look like it was driven by a teenager boy, how many on auto blog don't remember their first car that they saw as hot, lol ! The red Chrysler conv well ugly , might had been a rental ! Though wow the pinto station wagon, well that was imo the wrost

What's wrong with a Dodge Stealth? Those things can be pretty damn quick though the black one shown here isn't the TT model. Aside from mismatched wheels, I fail to see a problem.
Oh and I'd rather have a LeBaron than that Mustang with lambo doors.

the mid level Stealth (DOHC 16V ES/RT) matched the mustang gt for hp. granted torque was less but it was not a bad car by any stretch.
and while most of the visitors here know the evils of lambo doors, there are many who at one time thought they were the cat's meow, making it part of auto history.
all of us have/ or have had vehicles that we prefer that others probably wouldnt touch. Be glad there are so many enthusiasts.

These are the same "enthusiasts" who buy "supercharged" badges from auto parts stores to put on their 6 cyl mustangs. The world has enough of that sort of enthusiast.

Technically speaking the Dodge stealth is a rebadged Mitsubishi 3000GT
Nateb123 10:49AM (8/17/2009)
Yup, and the 3000 GT/GTO was a badass car. A land yacht, but still quick as hell.
