Overview

The Ford Flex is a full-size family vehicle that features three rows of seating, distinctive styling, and a high degree of functionality. The Flex competes directly in the popular crossover segment. The Flex is offered in both front- and all-wheel drive configurations, with three trim levels - SE, SEL and Limited. Power is supplied by either a 287-hp 3.5-liter V6 engine, or a 365-hp 3.5-liter twin turbo EcoBoost V6; both are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with manual mode and available paddle shifters. Trim-dependent standard equipment includes: 19-inch aluminum wheels, power liftgate, high-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, leather upholstery and Intelligent Access with push-button start, along with satellite/HD radio, smartphone integration, voice-activated navigation, an 8-inch touchscreen display and Ford's SYNC communications and entertainment system. Safety features found on every Flex include anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control, traction control and a rearview camera, as well as six airbags; Limited trims are also outfitted with a Blind Spot Information System and Cross-Traffic Alert. The Ford Flex carries over unchanged for 2018.
