Overview

The Acura TLX is a five-passenger performance luxury mid-size sedan, offered in both front- and all-wheel drive configurations. The TLX is outfitted with either a 206-hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, or a 290-hp 3.5-liter V6; available transmissions include an 8-speed dual-clutch and a 9-speed automatic, both with paddle shifters. A new Integrated Dynamics System (IDS) provides a customizable driving experience, while front-wheel drive models boast a Precision All-Wheel Steer (P-AWS) system for excellent handling and stability at varying speeds. Trim-dependent standard equipment includes: a power moonroof, 19-inch aluminum wheels, "Jewel Eye" LED headlights, passive entry/start, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, HD/satellite radio, voice-activated navigation, HandsFreeLink (Bluetooth) wireless connectivity/audio streaming, a USB port and smartphone compatability. Safety features found on every TLX include four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) with integrated traction control and seven airbags; a Multi-View Rear Camera, Collision Mitigation Braking System, Lane Keeping Assist System and Adaptive Cruise Control are also standard. The Acura TLX is refreshed for 2018, with an aggressive new design direction and enhanced premium features. Additionally, an A-Spec variant joins the lineup, featuring exclusive exterior and interior elements, enhanced chassis tuning and unique Shark Gray painted 19-inch aluminum wheels.
