Overview

The Kia Sportage is renowned for being an affordable compact SUV. It offers a comprehensive set of safety features, excellent versatility, and tremendous value. The Sportage is a five passenger vehicle that is offered in front-wheel (FWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD). The Sportage is powered by one of three four-cylinder engines, a 180-hp 2.4-liter, a 182-hp 2.4-liter Theta II, or a 260-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter all mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Standard equipment across all trims include 17-inch aluminum wheels, heated front seats, SiriusXM satellite radio, Bluetooth and wireless smart device connectivity. The EX and SX trims add 18-wheels, heated front seats, leather upholstery, automatic dual-zone climate control and a 4.3-inch touchscreen display while the SX also gets LED daytime running lights, front fog lights, cooled front seats, 7 Infinity speakers, integrated navigation with voice activation, a HomeLink garage door transmitter and rear parking sensors. Safety features such as six airbags, low tire pressure warning system and 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist and hill hold control are standard while the EX and SX trims add a rear view camera. The Kia Sportage carries over with minimal changes for 2016.
