Overview

The Ram 3500 offers bold styling with an aggressive "grille-forward" design, interiors with premium materials and innovative features, and big power from a choice of engines, making it ideal for work and play. Four grille designs and a premium headlamp lighting system with a bi-functional halogen projector design and amber turn-signal LEDs are available. The Ram 3500 provides something for everyone with the choice of three engines, three cab styles (regular, Crew and Mega cabs), four wheelbases and either 4x2 or 4x4 drive types. A 5.7-liter HEMI V8 producing 383 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft of torque is the standard engine. New for 2014, the available 6.4-liter HEMI V8 makes 410 horsepower and 429 lb.-ft of torque. The lineup of available 6.7-liter Cummins diesel engines features 350-horsepower/660 lb.-ft. of torque with the class-exclusive 6-speed manual, 370-horsepower/800 lb-ft of torque with the 6-speed automatic transmission, and 385-horsepower/850 lb-ft of torque with the all-new heavy duty AISIN six-speed automatic. Heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, heated steering wheel, power adjustable pedals, Keyless Go passive entry, rear parking sensors, and a rear backup camera are available. Uconnect stereos feature USB connections for electronic devices, available 8.4-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth connectivity, HD radio, and UConnect Access that provides new connected services and applications, a wi-fi hotspot and emergency services. Electronic and infotainment choices include a remote CD player, navigation system, and a rear-seat DVD entertainment system. The RamBox cargo management system includes illuminated storage bins built into bed rails and can be locked (along with the rear tailgate) with the remote key fob. A center high-mounted stop light (CHMSL) camera provides a view of the bed for easier fifth wheel or gooseneck trailer connection as well as monitoring cargo. The optional fifth wheel or gooseneck tow prep package includes a factory-installed trailer tow connector in the truck bed. The Ram 3500 was extensively revised in 2013 with new frames, suspension systems, powertrain combinations, grilles and headlights, redesigned interiors, innovative audio systems, and a variety of unique premium features and technologies, and is carried over for 2014. A 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine is now available.
