McLaren Cars
Bruce McLaren built his fame racing even before his trademark orange cars saw success in Formula One. But just before his untimely death, he was working on a road car based on his M6A Can-Am car, the M6GT. Just two were built as road cars. Under Ron Dennis, McLaren continued to race and began development on the incredible F1, which is still a superlative car even decades after its launch. The car company was relaunched in 2010 as a standalone unit with the 12C, featuring a twin-turbo V8 engine co-developed with Ricardo. The current lineup is descended from the 12C and comprises the Senna, 570S and GT, 720S, 675LT and 650S. The wild P1 hybrid was recently discontinued.
