Maybach Vehicles
Maybach is best known as a luxury sub-brand of Mercedes-Benz, actually now known as Mercedes-Maybach to draw a stronger connection between the two marques. But for many years it was its own brand, and it constructed large, stately cars as well as heavy-duty engines for trains and even Zeppelin airships. The automotive brand disappeared after WWII, but Daimler revived it in 1997 with the Maybach 57 and 62, using S-Class underpinnings and a 6.0-liter biturbo V12 engine. The brand currently sells the limited-production G 650 Laudalet and the S 560 and S 650 sedans.
