How big is the new Challenger?

After reading reports of the new Challenger's 197" overall length, a poster on the CamaroZ28.com board decided to do some photo resizing to establish a visual reference to some well-known current vehicles. The results are rather surprising - if indeed the car is as large as stated, then it'll dwarf a current Mustang, and make a fourth-gen Camaro and the GTO look slim by comparison.

The reason for this seems to be the tall cowl of the Chrysler LX platform. The increasing amount of componentry and structure in this area, combined with the need to protect the lower body during crashes, drives up the height of the firewall and makes it difficult to get the low-and-wide look that's desired in a muscle car. It would appear that Chrysler has simply scaled the rest of the vehicle to get the proportions correct, and that's going to make for a rather large vehicle.
